The first thing you notice is the laughter. At her photoshoot, Heather Harp and the ACCESS glam squad are getting along famously. The second thing? Her empathy for others, which translates into success for her clientele. “In a noisy world, people just want to be heard,” Heather tells us. “Really listening to our clients and then serving them is our first priority. We only offer solutions that will assist in achieving their goals. I think some of that comes naturally from being a mom, but it truly is what sets us apart.” With the focus at Envy Media Group squarely on each client’s individual needs, you’ll never find them coaxing their clients into any technology or marketing they don’t need. We like her already.

Envy Media Group’s formation was based on Heather’s eye for efficiency. Throughout her storied career (from her role as regional sales manager for nine radio stations to serving as an international buyer and negotiator and more), she noticed a common thread. “Wherever I was in the world, there was one common denominator, no matter what size the company,” she recalls. “They all knew and were passionate about their businesses; they were just extremely busy running the day-to-day operations, which often meant a strategic marketing plan got put on the backburner.” Thus, Envy Media Group was formed. “Streamlining and efficient marketing processes grow businesses, ultimately resulting in more revenue,” she says. Years ago, business owners only had a few advertising options — print, radio, and television. “The addition of digital options means navigating the advertising and marketing waters can be completely overwhelming for even the savviest business owner,” Heather observes. It’s comforting to know Envy Media Group has the people, tools, and tech skills to help businesses stay ahead of the curve. Heather gets it, and boils her job down to “helping our clients trim the fat by getting rid of excess ad spending,” she says, adding, “We become the growth extension of the business we’re working with.”

In what was formerly a male-dominated industry, Envy Media stands out. When Heather began her career in radio, almost all executive-level positions were held by men. Now, female representation in the both the marketing industryandmedia and communications is at 60 percent. In the technology sector, however, women only account for 29 percent. Interested in a career in digital marketing or tech? Find another woman to mentor you. An education is valuable, but learning from another successful woman with real-world experience is key. Approaching clientele with the heart of a teacher is central to her business model. “ I’m a problem solver, as many women are; we’ll work tirelessly to ensure everything’s fixed and running properly for our clients,” Heather says. At Envy, the team prides themselves on providing solutions for their clients, with Heather joking, “That’s what women are doing every day, right? Solving problems in our children’s worlds, our spouse or significant other’s worlds? As women, we have a lot to juggle; we have to find ways in life and work to be efficient, effective, and work smarter (not harder).

Aside from being in business with a trusted and highly accomplished professional like Heather and her team at Envy Media, in the end, it’s about the bottom line. Heather puts forth an example where her team created a customized, data-driven inventory ad campaign, walking their client through their end of the process and how the team at Envy would track everything on the back end, as it’s important to her that clients understand what the data means and how to track it. Digital advertising can seem overwhelming, but it’s really all about the results. While helping grow sales, Heather is also growing her clients’ understanding. “Our clients don’t need to knoweverything about digital advertising. That’s why they have us,” says Heather. And with that, we tip our caps to Heather Harp and her talented team.
