TOO GOOD NOT TO POST

Springhillians have much to celebrate as POST opens their second location: POST on the Hill! With its well-known craft cocktails and mouth-watering pairings, owner Matt LeMond is ecstatic to fill a much-needed void in this fun-loving, tightknit community.

To know him is to love him…and the various conceptions and cocktails he’s constantly dreaming up. Matt LeMond, owner of POST, O'Daly's Irish Pub, the Insider • a collective eatery, the Outsider • sports lounge, Cedar Street Social Club, and Lemon T's, has taken on yet another venture, bringing the beloved atmosphere and craft cocktails of POST to the village of Spring Hill, opening POST on the Hill this past November. 

 When speaking to loyal Spring Hill POST fans, and trust us there are many, they would say it has been a long time coming for something like this to make its way to their neck of the woods. “Through endless conversations with loyal POST customers, the topic of growth and expansion has been a constant. In knowing a handful of Springhillians and getting to know many more through the POST downtown location, there seemed to be a void that our type of business could fill,” shares Matt. “When the Old Shell location became available, we knew it would be a great addition to the POST brand and a great opportunity that we could not pass up.”

POST’s post office theme is well recognized, and Matt wanted to ensure this new location boasted that same feeling, but with a new, fresh twist. Working again with the talented Katie Kirby Interiors, Katie and Matt were able to create a space similar to the original location while also painting a new picture. “We placed a lot of our attention on the back bar and what we like to call a ‘blue out,’” Matt tells us.

Similar to the downtown location, POST on the Hill will be serving up unique, handcrafted cocktails and delectable pairings such as lamb sliders and a blackened tuna wrap, converted from their popular tuna snack at the downtown location. Though their cocktail menu will be familiar to many loyal patrons, there will also be some creative cocktails specific to their Spring Hill location.

And, much like the downtown location, POST on the Hill will serve as an amazing rental space for all of your event needs. “We are delighted to be able to offer indoor and outdoor event space opportunities to the Springhill area. POST thrives when we can create events like our cocktail classes, wine pairing course, and specialty dinner nights, all of which are a part of our future! The goal is to create a place for specialty cocktails and delicious shareables while providing a space for memorable experiences for all of our customers.”

 What Matt loves the most about this new location is the neighborhood aspect and feeling of Spring Hill. “We want POST to be a part of that! Whether you walk, bike, or arrive in a golf cart, we want each customer to feel like they are part of the community,” remarks Matt. “Starting my time in Mobile at Spring Hill College it feels very special to be back and part of this community. This area has so much potential, and we are excited to be included in the growth.”

 So much thought, time, and planning went into bringing this space to life, but Matt wants everyone to know it has become a reality thanks to the loyalty of POST’s customers. “POST is only as great as its customer support. The amazing community that supports us and challenges us to create daring cocktails and menu items continues to excite our loyal following,” he humbly shares. “I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support and encouragement of the community. Coming out of COVID-19 there was some uncertainty of growing the POST brand. So, to have this level of incredible response has been very motivating and encouraging to us.” They can’t wait to POST with you!
