Having just surpassed 100 years since the Suffragettes took to the streets to fight for our rights, we couldn’t think of a better way to honor them than with an issue dedicated to some of the area’s top “women in charge.” Reaching for the stars like never before, today, female voices ring out triumphant- ly around the world, and with their Louboutins and strollers proudly in tow, women of the Bay Area are leading the pack. Think everything from cutting-edge medical pros and incredible educational power- houses to female engineers and financial gurus reaching down to pull our girls up. True, we can’t change our history, but the future is flowing with milk and honey, and we’ve got our plates and glasses at the ready. Leave it to today’s women to address the specific issues females have put on mute for decades. It’s happening. It’s undeniably exciting. Yes, ladies: it’s our turn to not only dream big, but to master and accomplish the once seemingly impossible. Be inspired. Be motivated. Be supportive. Why?To our benefit, these ladies have got it going on and they aim to inspire future generations. There’s no turning back, but hey, why would we want to?
