BTS | The September issue

Photo shoots are one of our favorite parts of the production cycle and this month we #KilledIt

With a #FootballMama, game day fashion trends, a free street fest and the Gulf Coast’s first Focus Women’s Conference, there was plenty of action both in front and behind the camera.

Pick up your September issue for these stories and more!

Cover Story

South Alabama Jaguars Head Coach Joey Jones and his remarkable wife Elise are front and center of this issue, as the real life Friday Night Lights couple talk romance, football and life.

Botox & Bubbles with Dr. James Koehler

We started off strong with an intimate meet and greet soirée with the Bay’s newest leading cosmetic surgery expert, Dr. James Koehler of Eastern Shore Cosmetic Surgery. Set on the picturesque sunset shores of Little Point Clear, Botox & Bubbles was hosted by Access and Sadie’s of Fairhope owner Mary Knox Mundy. We’d like to thank SOHO Events and Rentals for supplying the posh furnishings for the venue.

TenSixtyFive

Evan, Rebecca and Louis Maisel of Gulf Distributing Company of Mobile, L.L.C. form the sibling team behind TenSixtyFive, a free street festival planned for downtown Mobile. In its third year, 1065 will take place from September 29th to October 1st.

Focus Women’s Conference

Friend of the magazine and local entrepreneur and photographer Devin Ford was inspired by the West Hollywood Women’s Leadership Conference (WeHo) when she lived in Los Angeles. Now living in Mobile, she figured the women of the bay could benefit from a similar event. The Gulf Coast’s first Focus Women’s Conference will be held at the Mobile Convention Center on September 22nd.

#FootballMama

What Women and Football issue would be complete without a football mama? Trisha Johnston came on set to talk raising three football-fanatic sons, as her eldest boys take the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Division One team by storm. Trisha says, “every woman should have a shoot with Access!”
